Jacob was a Private in the Royal Marine Light Infantry. In 1881 he was on board HMS “Adelaide” in Devonport, Devon. By 1901 he had married Mary Jane (surname unknown, born in Okehampton, Devon about 1864), and they were living in Devonport where he was the manager of a public house. Jacob died at Devonport in September 1903.
My great-grandfather James Webber married Emily Cornwall at St. Michael’s and All Angels Church, Bampton on July 1st 1866. Emily was the daughter of George Anstice Cornwall (born East Worlington, Devon) and Rebecca Collard.
In 1871 James and Emily left Bampton and settled in Whitchurch, Cardiff, Wales.
James and Emily had five sons and five daughters:
